Our usual trio is down to two this week, but have no fear Dan and Travis are here. If you’re like us, you were probably taught that the dinosaurs ruled the earth, but about 65 million years ago their reign came to an end. There have been many theories thrown around, speculating as to what happen to these thunder lizards? Luckily, Dan and Travis feel as though they may have finally uncovered the truth. We’ll today’s truth at least. Who knows what will be revealed in the future? Let’s just say this epic tale consists of energy equivalent to 100 million hydrogen bombs, temperatures hotter than the sun, a spectacular firework show and an earth sized pizza oven. Interested? Most of us sleep for several hours each night and during that time we may dream on and off in quick bursts. However, how much time can pass in the dream world during this short span? We’ll if Dan has taught us one thing over the last few months, it’s that anything is possible in his nighttime premonitions. Hence, Dan’s dream this week spans over a period of several years. Once he has decided that his life goal is to get into space, he teaches himself how to play online video games in an attempt to earn enough crypto currency to make his dream, dream a reality. After a couple years of playing and earning he then spends another year or two training himself to go into space on an expensive mechanical simulator called the “Devastator!” Of course, everything can’t go completely smooth, as the evil bureaucracy known as NASA tries to get in the way of his space dream. The boys decided to scratch their creative itch by diving head first into some creative writing. Of course, this challenge wouldn’t be as fun with out some self-imposed parameters. Each host must come up with a scary story to celebrate the Halloween Spirit. In addition, each writer drew two things, two people and two places at random on a previous episode and must incorporate all of these items into their story in one facet or another. So, what crazy concoctions have the guys come up with? You’ll have to listen to find out! However, first, Dan, Travis and Alan all do their best to answer a quick question of the day. This week, the question happens to be a two parter. Part one, in the advent of a Zombie Apocalypse, where would you hold up? Part 2, what would be your weapon of choice. Without giving anything away, we can tell you, the three of them have very different strategies they would implement for this apocalyptic situation!

Dan has introduced a new wrinkle into the Dream-isode landscape. From time to time we will release a Dream Snips Collection, which is a series of shorter, but just as entertaining dreams, straight from the crazy recesses of Dan mind! Here’s a quick blurb of what you can expect in this volume:
Dream Snip #4: In the fourth snippet, join Dan as he actively helps his brother Alan, navigate life as a fugitive. Unfortunately, he doesn’t do the best job. The home Dan finds for the two of them to crash in for the night, just so happens to belongs to the one and only detective who has obsessively chased Alan over the course of the last 10 years! How will they get out of this pickle? Will Alan end up in prison or will the fugitive hunt continue? Oh, and what is the Mothers of Missing Fugitives Club?
Dream Snip #5: In the fifth snippet, catch up with Dan as he is in a huge hurry to get somewhere very important. However, he does not quite know where or why he needs to go to a certain place at a certain time. Anyway, even though Dan is in such a hurry, his wife insists on getting a haircut on the way. Dan, being a kind and loving husband, gives into his wife’s request and waits patiently as she gets her forever-long haircut. Then out of sheer frustration, Dan stops an unsuspecting driver who was stuck at a stop light and decides to give this man a visual example of the vexation he feels.
Dream Snip #6: In the sixth and final snippet of the episode, Dan travels to the White House to meet up with his friend Travis, who has just started a new job as a White House Security Guard. Sadly, Travis ends up getting both he and his boss fired, while simultaneously getting both his and Dan’s cell phones confiscated. However, Travis seems to take the firing very well. Meanwhile, Dan is beside himself at the audacity of the White House personnel taking his phone with no explanation. Will Travis get another job? Will Dan get his phone back?

Travis has worked long and hard to put together a Jeopardy style game featuring the sounds of Halloween for Dan and Alan. Unfortunately, their knowledge of Halloween Media in not much higher than that of a corpse buried six feet underground. With that said, it doesn’t stop Dan from deploying his game theory strategies or Alan from changing his “Daily Double” wager 14 times. In the end, who will leave this podcast victorious and who will leave with their werewolf tail between their legs? Of course, before the Barnes brothers go head-to-head in this scary challenge, the guys give their take on what a day would be like if they were invisible. Like any good citizen, Dan spends a week going from house to house throughout his home town, setting up patio furniture and high-tech projection equipment for a city-wide Wi-Fi movie debut. Of course, after putting in such long hours, day-after-day, it’s time for him to take a quick vacation. So, he packs up the family and heads down to Southern Utah. What Dan didn’t expect to do on this trip was to hit up a Bear Themed Mexican Restaurant followed by a spectacular show featuring all kinds of cross-bred animals.
